Working with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District and U.S. EPA Region 9, GNA developed the vision for the FFCA conference in early 2004. From 2004 to 2009, the FFCA conference series was the premier event in North America showcasing solutions and resources to improve operations while reducing air emissions from the goods movement industry. Opening the conference, Long Beach Mayor Beverly O’Neill joined FFCA in paving the way for innovative programs, policies and technologies being implemented in ports around the nation to improve efficiency and reduce air emissions.
