“Taking care of the people who are making a difference in the world is what GNA’s People Operations & Culture team is all about. We support a team of talented professionals with the drive of entrepreneurs and innovators in the clean transportation and energy space. Building a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible culture for all stakeholders while accomplishing the GNA mission is our goal.”

GNA is highly selective in its hiring. We want the best and the brightest and people who are highly motivated to help us to continue to change the world, as we have done for more than 25 years. As we build our team, we look for people who come from diverse backgrounds in life, education, and experience.

We are a tight, small (and growing), but mighty team. Many of our clients are repeat clients, which speaks about the very high quality of work that we do. All of our people are held to very high and exacting standards of performance. In return, we help our people learn and develop; and, when it’s earned, we consider opportunities to promote from within.

Our pay and benefits are competitive in our industry. No matter your current career level, there is always more to learn, more clients to meet, and more projects to work on. At GNA, you are often visible externally with clients and at our events, where you can shine.

As you think about applying for the opportunity to grow your career at GNA, here are a few tips to help you put your best foot forward:

  • Cover Letter – We strongly prefer a tailored cover letter that relates your experience and/or education, to the role for which you’re applying. We also want to know why you are interested in GNA – what prompted you to seek us out and why do you think working here is the right next step for your career?
  • Work Samples – We welcome you to provide attachments or links to your prior work, experience, or education that are relevant to the role. Your prior work could be a school project, a community project, or a project for another employer (be mindful not to share anything that is confidential or proprietary, or tells us your race, gender, religion, marital status, disability status, sexual orientation or preference, and the like!).
  • Tailored Resume – Take time to ensure that your resume clearly shows how you’re qualified for the specific role for which you’re applying. We are fortunate to receive a high volume of applications for our open roles; resumes that show specific accomplishments and experience typically rise to the top of the stack.
  • Prepare – Spend adequate time preparing for the interview! Review our website in full. Skim our white papers. Explore our media publication, ACT-News.com. Learn about our largest conference, ACT Expo. On the day of your interview, come prepared to discuss what GNA does and why you think you belong here. It’ll make for a far more interesting and productive conversation for us all.

If you score an interview with us, be sure to send a follow-up note to let us know of your continued interest (if you’re still interested) and why. Demonstrate that what you learned during the interview and how your learning helps you be a standout candidate for us. Best of luck!
