About the Project

The goal of the CEC’s Electric Program Investment Charge (EPIC) program is to support emerging technologies that can help California transition to a low-carbon, resilient and equitable energy economy. GNA assembled an expert team to support CEC’s EPIC campaign, including Frontier Energy, Sensis Agency, Larta Institute, and Casamar Group.

EPIC Forums & Symposiums

GNA supported CEC in planning and hosting thousands of clean tech innovators at EPIC forums, tours, and symposiums to learn about emerging technologies, share best practices, and connect about future projects and partnerships.

The events—which were hosted in-person and virtually—featured dynamic plenary panels and breakout sessions, unique attendee networking opportunities, off-site tours, exhibitors showcasing energy innovation, pitch competitions, and more. GNA handled everything from vendor contract negotiation to registration, marketing and outreach, agenda development, speaker management, technology transfer opportunity development, sponsorship, exhibitor management, and onsite staffing.

Featured event series speakers included: California Energy Commission Chair David Hochschild; California Senator Ben Hueso; California Assemblymember Chris Holden; California Air Resources Board Chair Liane Randolph; Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm; California Governor Gavin Newsom; California Natural Resources Department Secretary Wade Crowfoot; California Senator Nancy Skinner; among others.

Energize Innovation Website

In collaboration with its project partners, GNA facilitated the strategy, content development, and launch of a robust website to highlight CEC-funded research and technology development activities. The core goal of the website is to enable of a range of clean energy stakeholders to learn about and connect with organizations working to bring innovative new solutions to California’s energy sector. The website includes:

  • Educational content on key energy innovation investment areas
  • A searchable database of hundreds of CEC-funded projects and related innovation
  • Information on the EPIC event series, including speaker profiles and presentations
