    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support GNA’s digital marketing team to manage and execute automated marketing campaigns (triggered and transactional) and newsletter email campaigns for clients, events/conferences, news publications, webinars, and company communications.
    • Manage email marketing calendar for GNA events, internal initiatives,  and clients.
    • Assist with quality control for all aspects of email communications including links, email and landing page content, subject lines and appropriate audience segmentation.
    • Optimize email campaign metrics. Drive effectiveness through various modes of testing, measurement, tracking and reporting.
    • Execute successful social media strategies on behalf of clients, GNA’s executives, conferences.
    • Manage regular content updates to WordPress websites.
    • Assist in the development of copy for thought leadership articles, websites, brochures, emails, etc.
    • Manage the production of educational webinars for our events and clients, including webinar set up, speaker invitations, audience development, and reporting.
    • Identify keywords and optimizing websites in strategic areas such as page title, meta data, headlines, alt tags, etc.
    • Provide metrics tracking for trend comparisons.
    • Develop core and topical content suggestions provided based on keyword research.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education: A BA or BS from a top-tier school and a strong potential for professional success is required. Candidates with or without degrees will be considered if they possess an exemplary record of success, leadership, and expertise relevant to our needs.
    • Professional Experience: 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience with strategic communications or with alternative fuels, advanced transportation technology, renewable energy, air quality, or energy policy is a plus.
    • Skills: Exceptional leadership, management, writing, research, analytical, communication, public speaking and presentation, organization, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. In addition to top-notch communications skills, an excellent grasp of business strategy, marketing methods, organizational and leadership issues is also necessary. Must be able to learn from constructive criticism and adapt to rapidly-changing project needs and priorities.
    • Language: Fluency in English is required and Spanish is a plus.

    Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), a national clean transportation and energy consulting firm, is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to join our Creative division in our Santa Monica office. This position primarily supports the team that produces GNA’s educational events and expos, including the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo, the High Horsepower Summit, Dairy Sustainability Summit, and the Rethink Methane Symposium.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    DIGITAL MARKETING: 

    • Develop and deploy responsive email marketing campaigns (triggered and transactional) for events/conferences, news publications, and webinars (GNA uses Eloqua; experience in Marketo, Pardot, and Hubspot are also relevant).
    • Manage relationships with key trade associations and non-profits that provide marketing support.
    • Drive the content development, posting, and engagement tactics for GNA’s event social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook).

    AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT & DATABASE MARKETING SUPPORT:

    • Assist with monthly database clean-up operation while ensuring that all program components across the company are updated accordingly.
    • Help manage custom objects, fields, formulas, analytic snapshots and report types in Eloqua and Salesforce.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    • 2 to 5 years of experience working in a communications or marketing role (client-facing is a plus)
    • Solid grasp of email marketing tools and best practices, with 1+ years preferred experience using a marketing automation system (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo, Pardot)
    • Intermediate to advanced understanding of HTML

  • Events & Policy Program Manager | Santa Monica, California

    POSITION OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE:
    This individual will work directly with GNA’s Vice President of Programs as the project manager for event programming on a variety of events on energy efficiency, clean energy, and clean transportation. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of agenda/content development, industry trend research, speaker management and related long-term relationship development, content development (marketing, website, event collateral, reports, other internal and external communications), contract management and reporting, as well as directly managing project staff. They will work in partnership with the GNA Creative Team (Communications and Event) to effectively integrate agenda development into the production and implementation of all event collateral, marketing, and logistics. The ideal candidate will have project management experience, success managing client-facing and c-level relationships, exceptional written communications, and a core knowledge base about issues related to climate change, air quality, energy security, and transportation policy. Experience managing staff and public agency contracts is a plus.

    As the Events & Policy Program Manager responsible for agenda and content development surrounding cutting-edge clean energy and transportation events, this individual will be central to helping GNA remain at the forefront of industry trends, maintaining and growing connections with industry leaders, and developing new business opportunities.

    It is vital for this individual to have excellent written and oral communication skills, a customer/client-oriented can-do attitude, strong interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail, the ability to manage a team to meet assigned deadlines, the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced office with multiple simultaneous priorities, tenacity in the face of ambiguity; excitement about seeking out information on emerging technologies and trends, the ability to quickly absorb new information and provide feedback that will impact GNA’s business growth, and the ability to represent GNA well to a diverse audience.
     

    TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Event Content/Programming:
      • Work with GNA’s various teams (Technical, Programs and Creative) to brainstorm session ideas.
      • Independently research and generate session ideas, topics and speakers.
      • Manage agenda and content development, including drafting of agenda program and session descriptions.
      • Mange speaker research and maintenance of the database of relevant speaker and session ideas.
      • Manage and oversee speaker invitations and confirmations, as well as relationships with speakers leading up to the show.
      • Oversee management of abstract submissions for events. Review and recommend for possible speaking slots.
      • Oversee and track receipt of speaker bios and headshots.
      • Manage speaker presentation and collection process and ensure presentations are received formatted and uploaded in a timely manner.

      • Analyze post-event metrics and feedback; incorporate analysis into next year’s agenda.
    • Collateral Development:
      • Work with marketing team to populate content for email marketing campaigns.

      • Develop content for all conference materials, including the Agenda.

    • Event Logistics:
      • Work with logistics team to identify and plan for onsite room and speaker needs.
      • Assist with, research, and identify technical tours for key events and workshops.

    • Project Management:

    • Ensure the accuracy of sponsor/exhibitor information on event websites, marketing materials, exhibitor portal, and on-site materials.
    • Assist the Events Marketing Manager in the preparation and organization of event marketing materials.
    • Communicate with sponsors/exhibitors to relay information in a timely manner.
    • Maintain the sponsor/exhibitor deliverables tracker and share updates with the events and marketing teams.
    • Communicate and confirm on-site deliverables with Director of Events prior to production.
    • Support event and marketing coordination, pre-show, on-site, and post show, as needed.
    • Maintain online exhibitor services software (audit floor plan, booth information, upload exhibitor forms etc.).
    • Sponsor/exhibitor customer service support tasks as needed.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), a national clean transportation and energy consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Events Specialist to provide logistics, registration, and administrative support for our advanced transportation technology and clean energy conferences and expos—including the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, Rethink Methane Symposium, and California Dairy Sustainability Summit—as well as several client events.

    Our team at GNA is driven by our passion to improve national energy security, create U.S. jobs, improve air quality for communities, and aid our customers in reducing their operating costs. This passion has led GNA’s conferences and expos to become the largest and most prominent events in the clean transportation sector.

    In this Senior Events Specialist role, you will manage or assist in all stages of event planning, preparation and execution. Assist with the development of the event concept, budget, promotional materials and production/project, logistics schedules, and negotiate with external vendors. you will work side-by-side with team members that are collaborative, inquisitive, and dedicated to quality. This position reports to the Director of Events & Experiential Marketing.
     

    Responsibilities Include:

      Conference Registration Management

      • Create and manage conference registration processes for several concurrent events in Cvent.
      • Provide regularly scheduled detailed registration reports and statistics.
      • Provide assistance to attendees throughout the registration process via email and telephone.
      • Work with attendees to troubleshoot credit card transaction problems, send invoices, and process payments.
      • Research on-site registration needs such as badge supplies and on-site registration equipment.
      • Audit registrant data on a frequent basis.
      • Manage on-site registration and registration staff.
      • Assist with final reconciliation of financial records with registration detail reports.

       
      Event Logistics

      • Manage event operations, under the direction of the Director of Events.
      • Manage and maintain internal planning meeting agendas and schedules, for assigned events.
      • Ensure event runs smoothly and resolve any problems that may arise.
      • Serve as liaison for communication between Director of Events, sponsors, clients and vendors.
      • Assist in the management of hotel room blocks.
      • Coordinate staff and VIP travel for events as needed.
      • Manage event collateral and coordinate printing (signage, event guides, etc.).
      • Assist researching and securing locations for events.
      • Support in tracking event/department finances, monitor payments due, maintain event expenses, and other items as needed in order to close-out each event budget.
      • Coordinate food and beverage needs.
      • Research and coordinate vendors including AV, temp staff, transportation, decorator etc. as needed.
      • Assist with signage review, production and placement.
      • Act as onsite support to ensure implementation of event specifications.
      • Provide assistance in overall event logistics.
      • Work with Director of Events to order supplies for onsite events on an ongoing basis.
      • Plan, pack and arrange for shipping to event sites.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience using CVENT (or similar) registration software.
    • Strong verbal and communication skills with a strong focus on customer/attendee service.
