Government Affairs and Policy Development

GNA maintains outstanding relationships with officials in environmental and energy agencies at the federal, state and local levels, as well as elected officials who have sway over energy and environmental policy.  Combined with communications capabilities and understanding of complex air quality and energy improvement strategies, policies and technologies, GNA is able to effectively disseminate its clients' message to the stakeholders that influence, set and/or administer policy.  GNA's unique capacity to craft and focus advanced low-emission and energy technology projects as political solutions has earned GNA an exemplary record of success.

GNA helps develop policies which advance the interests of energy efficiency, alternative fuels, emission reduction strategies, and sustainable development. GNA has effectively developed programs in both California and Texas to provide grants for the replacement of diesel equipment with cleaner technology, and was part of the team that created innovative emission offsets for power plants by reducing pollution from trucks, ships and cargo handling equipment. In a similar fashion, GNA has developed local ordinances to enable municipalities to encourage owners of construction equipment to use their newest and cleanest units on projects in their cities. GNA understands what it takes to develop good public policy, and we have helped private companies, community organizations and public agencies find ways to translate environmentally and socially sustainable objectives into law.
