| GNA and City of Commerce Mark Groundbreaking for Construction of New LNG/LCNG Fueling Station |

Station will provide fuel for city’s growing fleet of natural gas powered vehicles, LNG port trucks, and other clean vehicles throughout the region CITY OF COMMERCE, CA - April 23, 2010 - Years in the making, the City of Commerce (Commerce) broke ground today on construction of a new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) Fueling Station located at 5926 Sheila Street in Commerce, California. Mayor Tina Baca Del Rio and members of the Commerce City Council hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to kick-off construction of the facility which will be the first station of its kind located in southeast Los Angeles. The station, scheduled for a mid-summer 2010 commissioning, will provide reliable LNG and CNG fueling for the city's CNG transit fleet, LNG port trucks, natural gas powered refuse vehicles, and other private and municipal natural gas fleet vehicles operating throughout the region. This fueling station will help achieve the city's and the region’s important goals of reducing air pollution within Commerce and in surrounding communities.
“In an industrialized region at the intersection of Interstates 5 and 710 and at the entrance to two of the largest intermodal rail yards in the nation, the location of a 24/7 public access, clean fuel, refueling station such as this is ideal,” commented GNA’s Chief Executive Officer Erik Neandross. “For years, the City of Commerce has been disproportionately impacted by diesel emissions and this project is an extremely important step to reducing such impacts; we commend the City for their leadership on this project.” The station will be an important link in the continued development of the Interstate Clean Transportation Corridor (ICTC), a long-term endeavor for which GNA has served as Project Director since 1996. The ICTC is the most successful planned clean fuel corridor in the United States and operates with the goal of fostering alternative fuel vehicle infrastructure development linking Los Angeles, the San Joaquin Valley, Sacramento, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Reno, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City along highways I-80, I-5 (Santa Ana), CA-99, I-10 and I-15. The City of Commerce LNG/LCNG station will serve as an important link in this growing corridor. “With 1,000 new LNG trucks now being deployed in the nearby Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the timing of this important LNG/LCNG fueling station development project could not be better,” added Neandross. “This station will allow for the continued growth of ultra low emission natural gas vehicles throughout the region, contributing to improved air quality, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and a lessened dependence upon petroleum fuels for transportation.” Funding for this project has been provided from a number of public agencies. The largest grant comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation and Related Appropriations Act in the amount of $1,040,000. In conjunction with a $350,000 grant from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee’s Clean Transportation Funding and a $250,000 grant from the South Coast Air Quality Management District the city has secured just over $1.6 million dollars to assist with the development and construction of the CNG fueling station. Additional resources for this important project and partnership have been contributed by the City of Commerce and the County of Los Angeles. About the City of Commerce About GNA Contact:

Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA) has been involved in the development of this station since the idea’s original inception. GNA assisted with securing multiple grant funds to support the development of this project, identified the land upon which the station is being built and negotiated the partnership with the County of Los Angeles, wrote and released the RFP for this project, and is now coordinating construction management.
