Position recognizes Ms. Gilde’s leadership role in groundbreaking environmental projects and responsibility for oversight of East Coast operations In her role at GNA, Ms. Gilde develops opportunities to provide support to the goods movement industry, government, community groups and environmental organizations on air quality improvement programs, technical support with emission reduction technology, marketing and outreach for pollution reduction programs, and stakeholder capacity building. Currently, Ms. Gilde assists The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to promote and implement the Port Authority’s Regional Truck Replacement Program (TRP). Ms. Gilde serves as the team’s Director for the TRP’s marketing strategy, outreach and stakeholder relations. Ms. Gilde also led the Faster Freight – Cleaner Air (FFCA) Conference Series in New York City, Seattle and Long Beach. FFCA focuses on improving air quality and greening goods movement through innovative technologies and freight management strategies. “Alycia’s promotion was certainly well-deserved and given in recognition of the significant contributions she has made to GNA in a relatively short period of time,” said Cliff Gladstein, President of GNA. “We would not have been able to play such a key role in the many groundbreaking environmental projects currently happening on the East Coast without her leadership and direction.” Before joining GNA, Ms. Gilde worked for Starcrest Consulting Group, LLC as a consultant and for the Clean Air Association for the Northeast States (NESCAUM) as a Mobile Source Analyst and Communication Specialist. Her work included working with environmental justice communities on the implementation of clean air programs aimed to reduce diesel emissions. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Environmental Mass Media. After receiving her degree, Ms. Gilde joined the United States Peace Corps as an Environment Volunteer and the National Gender and Youth Development Coordinator in Ghana, West Africa.
