Innovative summit designed to “fuel” interest in natural gas for heavy-duty trucking SANTA MONICA, CA - January 4, 2010 - Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA) will head to Louisville, Kentucky in March 2010 as organizers of the National Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Fleet Summit. This event has been designed to highlight the increasing role of NGVs in heavy-duty trucking as these technologies continue to provide economic cost savings and environmental improvements. Registration for this landmark event is now open on the event website at www.ngvsummit.com. Natural gas advocate and alternative energy pioneer T. Boone Pickens will provide the Keynote Address at a noontime Luncheon event expected to draw significant interest and attendance. “NGVs are truly ready for prime time,” said Erik Neandross, Chief Executive Officer of GNA. “New OEM product, significantly increased domestic natural gas supplies, continued fleet investment and cost savings, and tremendous opportunities for the industry in the NAT GAS Act are making NGVs a tremendous choice for America’s private fleets. GNA has been working with early adopters of this technology for years. Now is the time for existing NGV fleets to share their experiences with others as we continue to grow this important market.” The National NGV Fleet Summit will take place in Louisville, Kentucky at the Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport on March 24, 2010, the day before the VIP opening of the largest heavy-duty trucking event of the year, the Mid-America Trucking Show. This event will offer an intensive day of sessions featuring high-level representatives from the nation's top fleets such as UPS, Sysco Foods, Waste Management, and HEB Grocery discussing their experience using natural gas in their own operations. Opportunities and pitfalls will be discussed as well as their motivations for choosing natural gas, the grants and incentives they have been able to leverage, and other key issues. Additionally, energy suppliers will answer questions about supply, infrastructure, and the technologies that make natural gas a real alternative fuel option for heavy-duty applications. Speakers and agenda details will be announced over the coming weeks and will be available on the event website. For additional information or to register, please contact 888-993-0302.
